About This Tour

The Panchase overnight ride is one of Pokhara’s signature all-mountain MTB trips a route that climbs out of the lake valley into forested hills before delivering one of the best close-range Himalayan panoramas near the city. Riders tackle a mix of singletrack, jeep trail and village paths as the route gains elevation through rhododendron and oak forest, past the World Peace Pagoda and the Gurung village of Bhumdi, before reaching the overnight stop below Panchase Peak.

The following morning’s sunrise climb to the summit rewards riders with sweeping views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Hiunchuli and Dhaulagiri lined up across the valley, with Phewa Lake and Pokhara spread out far below. From there it’s a fast, flowing descent back down through forest trails and farmland to the road-head a satisfying mix of climbing effort and reward that makes this one of the most popular overnight rides out of Pokhara.
