Pokhara 1 Day Hiking (Naudanda – Sarangkot)
About This Tour
This is the easiest way to get a genuine taste of the Himalayas without committing to a multi-day trek a short, well-marked ridgeline hike connecting two of Pokhara’s most famous viewpoints, Naudanda and Sarangkot. It’s the go-to choice for travelers with limited time who still want real mountain views, village culture, and a proper walk in the hills, all in a single day out of Pokhara.
The hike begins with a scenic drive out to Phedi or Kande, along a road lined with terraced fields and forest, with the Annapurna Massif visible on the horizon. From there, an easy, well-defined trail climbs gently through pine forest, farmland, and small Gurung and Magar settlements to Naudanda, a ridge-top village with sweeping views of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges.
The route continues along the ridgeline to Sarangkot, Nepal’s most famous sunrise and paragliding viewpoint, with a full 360-degree panorama over Phewa Lake, the Pokhara valley, and the entire Annapurna skyline Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri, and Lamjung Himal all visible on a clear day. No prior hiking experience is needed, making this one of the most accessible ways in Nepal to stand this close to the high Himalaya.
